Carabobo Pedestrian Walkway

Carabobo Street, once traversed by vehicles, was set apart for the exclusive use of pedestrians at the beginning of this century. Approximately eight blocks in length, the Carabobo Pedestrian Walkway extends its urban transformation ambit some thirty blocks around. It has been a vital part of Medellín’s history, which is why along these eight blocks one can find a series of buildings meriting heritage recognition for their artistic and architectural value that takes us back to the Medellín of the beginning and middle of the 20th century. It is a living roadway; a trip through the most traditional Medellín of always; to travel through art, culture, and trade.
