38. Nutibara Hill
Calle 30A No. 55-64
57(4) 260 24 16 - 385 80 17
From below you can see the magnificence of an ecosystem that preserves the natural environment of one of Medellín’s Guardian Hills. From atop, some 260 feet above Antioquia’s capital, the sketch of a city’s history, architecture, nature, and modernity comes alive. The hill was awarded the status of Protected Area in 2009 thanks to the migrant birds that call it home while traversing the Aburrá Valley and the 61 species of wild flora found in its midst. Its 81.5 acres bring together the best of local tradition and offer: open air theater, footpaths, paved roadways, a Sculpture Park, several small plazas, lookouts, restaurants, parking areas, rest areas, and gazebos. And, perched atop the hill, a composite replica of typical Antioquia towns.
Hours: Open daily 5:00 AM to midnight.
